Percent Correct with Prompt Levels
Track what level of support was provided for each trial and define what counts as success.
Standard Percent Correct tracks whether a response was correct. With prompt levels enabled, you also record what level of support was provided - and define what counts as “success” based on clinical goals.
Using standard Percent Correct without prompt levels? See Using Recording Methods.
Enable Prompt Levels
Open a Percent Correct tracker’s settings and toggle Use Prompt Levels on.
When enabled:
- Prompt hierarchy appears below the toggle with color-coded badges (I, G, V, M, PP, FP, NR)
- Goal Support Level selector appears for defining what counts as success
- Session tiles switch to the split prompt picker interface
You can customize the prompt hierarchy to match your organization’s levels. Tap the hierarchy section to add, remove, reorder, or rename levels.
Set Goal Support Level
The Goal Support Level defines the maximum level of support that still counts as success. Responses at this level or less intrusive count as correct.
Examples:
- Independent (default) - Only independent responses count as success
- Verbal - Independent, Gestural, and Verbal all count as success
- Model - Independent through Model count as success
Select the level that matches the current clinical goal. As the learner progresses, update the Goal Support Level to a less intrusive level.
Recording During Sessions
Tap the Percent Correct tile to open the split prompt picker. Trials are organized into two sections based on your Goal Support Level:
- SUCCESS - Prompt levels at or below the Goal Support Level
- NEEDS SUPPORT - Prompt levels above the Goal Support Level
- No Response - Always at the bottom, separate from the hierarchy
Tap a prompt level button to record the trial. The picker shows a running count of successes, needs support, and overall percentage.
Default vs Custom Goal Behavior
When Goal Support Level is Independent (default):
- Checkmark (✓) button records Independent in one tap (fast path)
- Hand/touch icon button (amber) opens the picker to select which prompt was needed
When Goal Support Level is set to any other level:
- Checkmark (✓) button opens the picker focused on SUCCESS levels
- Hand/touch icon button (amber) opens the picker focused on NEEDS SUPPORT levels
Both sections remain tappable regardless of focus. This keeps data entry fast for the common case while giving context for custom goals.
Editing Trials After a Session
Tap any trial in the session summary to change its prompt level. The success/failure calculation updates automatically based on the tracker’s Goal Support Level.
Goal Progression with STOs
Combine the Goal Support Level with STOs (Short-Term Objectives) for structured goal progression:
- STO 1: 80% success at Verbal for 5 consecutive days
- STO 2: 80% success at Gestural for 5 consecutive days
- STO 3: 80% success at Independent for 5 consecutive days
When the learner masters an STO, update the Goal Support Level to the next less intrusive level and activate the next STO. Mastery evaluation uses the Goal Support Level automatically - no extra configuration needed.
